Dear Chemistry and Biochemistry & Biophysics Majors: In order to be sure that we can offer Experimental Chemistry I, CH 361 & 361H 1 to those of you that absolutely need to take it Fall 2013 to stay on track with graduation, we will conduct registration by Departmental Approval for both the Tuesday & Thursday and the Wednesday & Friday section. We keep a manual waiting list in chemistry (not online) for both sections and we will issue overrides after checking prerequisites and course scheduling. You will be notified by ONID email if you are issued an override on or before June 17. Once you have an override, please register immediately after notification or your override will expire. Please fill out the following form in its entirety and submit the form (button at bottom). This action will place your name on the CH 361 or CH 361H request list - please note, it does not enroll you in the course!
Also, please note: CH 361 & CH 361H have enforced co-requisites of CH 334, MTH 251, PH 201 or PH 211 and the prerequisite of one year of general chemistry with laboratory. Co-requisites may be taken simultaneously with CH 361/361H. Due to the nature of the work we can not honor requests for time conflict overrides.
If you do not receive notification by onid email of an override by June17, 2013, we will keep your name on the wait list in the event that a space opens up before the start of fall term. Please check with Dr. Pastorek if you have any questions. Students that are co-enrolled in PH 211 will be given consideration for the TR section of this course due to the orthogonally of PH 211 and the WF section of CH 361 & CH 361H.
